24 Season 8 Confirmed
According to 24 Star Kiefer Sutherland, 24's season 8 has been confirmed. "If I was going to liken 24 to a girlfriend, 24 has been really good to me. And I need to be really good back.There are plays I want to do. There are so many different things I would like to do, but I was so fortunate to be part of something like 24 that my focus is still on that right now. The real pressure is placed on the writers. It's a real question about how much they feel they can give and what they can do."

In an article in the New York Times, Fox announced that 24 will be a carbon neutral tv show.Consultants have been hired to measure the carbon dioxide output from production, while motion sensor lights have been installed in communal areas. Cast and crew have begun sharing scripts electronically and more economically-friendly fuel has been used for trucks and generators. However, the look and feel of show will not be changing too much.
"If we’ve needed a car chase, we’ve had a car chase,", he said. "Our obligation is first and foremost to the fans. If we have budget cuts and need to save money, then we’ll have fewer car crashes." Instead of axing the show's signature action scenes, bosses have decided to counter the environmental effect by purchasing carbon offsets in India.
"We are arguably the worst possible offender, which is why, in a way, it made sense to start with us," said Gordon. "If we can do it, anyone can."
