She spent fourteen years with the St. Louis Celtic stepdancers and spent her youth traveling and competing in Irish dance. She then went to Millikin University and received a degree in musical theatre. She lived in Chicago after school before touring with Anything Goes and A Christmas Carol. She also enjoyed working for such theatres as Victory Gardens, Marriott Lincolnshire, Utah Shakespearean Festival before moving to Los Angeles in 2001.
