I am more than annoyed by Garofalo's inclusion in season 7. Knowing her character that was almost enough for me to stop watching. But being a loyal fan of the show for 6 years, I endured (won't call it the higher road).

I am a conservative leaning independent that is against the destructive forces of American capitalism and the enablers of beaureucratic corruption that is taxing Americans of hard earned funds. I find a government that wants half of your money to be straight-up corrupt. I don't consider myself ignorant for having that view. On the contrary I would argue that someone that is not agains that has a sloppy regard for their own rights. Think about it. If you grow carrots in your garden and the government comes by and says give us half of those carrots, they are ours then is it really a government of the people that the founding fathers (who instituted no income tax) envisioned?

How does that value I hold make this issue about there being a black man in the white house? I think it is completely disrespectful of Garofalo to minimize my legitimate concerns and try to "typecast" those like myself. I put that because she thought 'The Truth About Cats And Dogs' typecast her as 'the ugly duckling.' Irony, huh. On a side note, that role did not typecast her, reality did.

But Garofalo is unapologetic and that is her right as an American to be unapologetic. Nonetheless, her actions reflect upon the 24 franchise. I do not find it coincidental that she is not in season 8, according to IMDB.com records.

You could say that 24 executive producer, David Howard took action in the wake of this controversy. I would say point out that his silence on the matter is cowardly all the same. All he has done is swept this under the rug and said he is moving on. Later on, Garofalo can easily say that she moved on and that 24 never condemned her statements.
